Farewell to Summer
Before we fully enter again into the real world, on this very last night of the official summer vacation, I'd like to share these photos I took on an outing I had with my students, on the very first day of summer vacation.
They'd just been done with their final exams, and diplomas were still warm in the graduates' hands. I myself did not know I'd be going on one of the best unexpected adventures ever. Who better to teach us about summer, as with everything else, than a child set free on a beach?
May these images leave us with enough warmth (and hope!) to last us till next year.
Taken at dusk on Agan-an Beach, Sibulan - March 26, 2007
This shot is gorgeous. Great composition and lines ;) Naks, murag kamao.
ReplyDeleteBasta, I like it. Good jav, Jeneen!
this is lovely, neen.
ReplyDeletefor some reason, it strikes me as a cross between Christ's walk on water and virginia woolf's voyage into the sea. =)
how you manage to take pictures that can only be taken in a certain place and time is such a gift.
HUGS,
jemi
Love this one. :)
ReplyDeletemy favorite, too =) one of those shots that would look so much better taken with an SLR. sigh. miss my pentax.
ReplyDeleteit is still a mystery to all of us what the statue is and why it should be there at a marine sanctuary (there's actually another statue a few hundred meters away, but it's more wave-beaten and unrecognizable). but well, you've managed to justify its presence as romantic =)
ReplyDeletehaha. timing-timing lang... i was surprised myself that i was able to capture the "suspended animation", given the slow shutter speed. thanks, borj =D
