The Bounty of Mindanao
In the spirit of the Kadayawan Festival (photos of which i'll post later on after i'm done with this backlog =P), some reasons this island is called the Land of Promise.
Photos from my travels around Mindanao in the last month--Bukidnon, Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental, Davao del Sur, and Kidapawan in North Cotabato. Also explains why I've been getting fat the past month. Unfortunately, can't find the pix of the gigantic apple-mangoes from Bukidnon, and the cute bananas growing in our backyard :-/
*everything taken as is. nothing rearranged to fit the picture. truth is beautiful ;-)
i don't comment much but i look at your pictures all the time, i think they are consistently well done and very appealing =)

Mindanao is realizing its true worth -- fulfilling its promise. Davao ties with Makati in the metro cities category for this year's city competitiveness report, and several other Mindanao cities not in the previous list are now recognized. Mindanao's bounty are essentially us -- Mindanaoans. I just hope each of us protect with our lives our beloved home, Mindanao.
ReplyDeletei love your photos jeen! indeed, truth is beautiful!
salamat po sa inyong lahat =) though i'll probably never earn money from art, the joy from creating these things, and the affirmation from people like you are more than enough return for my investment.
ReplyDeleteand yes, though i was unfortunately not born on this island, and though i keep moving around, i will always love mindanao like no other.
