Panggangan Island, Calape, Bohol

these are pictures i took in February 2003, when i went on journey alone to this remote island. my stay turned out to be terrible and potentially very dangerous, but the sunset made it all worth it. these shots inspired me to write my sunset poem. And you can read the travel article too, if you want. But I'm not posting the essay I wrote on what REALLY happened.

  1. Pretty restive! reminds me of lying in the hammock after a hard day's work...

  2. why don't you try your hand at film? (or you are na?) if you catch something this (admirably) chaotic in stills, you'll most likely capture the same in moving frames.

  3. What a great shot! Did u use a digital cam or slr? I'm having this reproduced and enlarged and place it where I usually rest after a day's work.

  7. One can get really great photos when traveling alone. It's great to travel with friends or families, but they get annoyed when I get into photographing everything-from nature to street photography.

    Sigh.
