Camotes Group of Islands, Cebu

August 20-21, 2005. Lake Danao is in the town of San Francisco, on the island of Pacijan, one of the four in the Camotes group of Islands in northern Cebu. The lake has a unique grass called soli-soli that the people there weave into mats, hats and bags. The lake pictures are my favorites.

The resorts (Mangudlong on the west and Santiago Bay on the east) are also in San Francisco. Will be writing an article or journal entry about the trip so you can get more deatils about how to get there and what i did (it was the perfect vacation =).

Also, for the first time i've put my name on the photos and uploaded only low res pix to protect my "creative work" and prevent downloads without my permission. I just thought maybe I should start being more careful against plagiarism. It's a lot of work having to put my name on each one, but i'll see how this works out.

More of the island's people here.

  3. Hi, Jeneen! Boboi called yesterday to tell me that the Weekend reprint of your journal got favorable response. At least seven people called up for reservations, he said. And more the following day. Multiply effect, come to think of it.=)

  5. yup! the beach is nice sa town ng san francisco. this one is in mangodlong (beach not very wide), but there are other beaches there na wide, like in santiago, it's a really wide cove, especially if full moon. you can also go to tulang island, still part of san francisco. check my article na lang sa blog for details (just click on the camotes tag to find it).
