first time to dive in the English Channel in English weather :D ...or in a freshwater quarry if the weather's really bad. either way, it will be a totally different experience from all the other dives i've had anywhere else, because i'll be wearing either a semi-dry or dry suit :P hope i don't shiver too much.
wow! good luck jeneen :D
ReplyDeleteOh good luck Jeneen! im sure you will do just fine.. it does get cold there.
ReplyDeletehala! good luck! :) what temp is the water over there?
ReplyDeleteKamusta ang dive!? I didn't know you know how to use a dry suit. Tell me all about it!
ReplyDeleteit was like diving in a waterfall in the mountains in the philippines....or swimming in the caves of sagada... not too bad at 15-16 degrees. but then that's the warmest that they get here daw :P the coldest i've had in the philippines, kahit bagyo, is 26 degrees.
ReplyDeleteoh and no, i don't know how to use a dry suit :P we were made to wear 5-mm wetsuits, but our guide was wearing a drysuit. and we didn't even have gloves, and everyone else did! could hardly climb up the ladder because i couldn't feel my hands anymore.... anyway, more on the differences between tropical and temperate diving when i post my pictures.
5mm lang? That's weird. Rich took lessons last July and he was made to wear 7mm. Hope you didn't get frost bite! Ingat lagi!
ReplyDeleteyeah! the pics! =)
ReplyDeletewelcome to the UK (since you are naturally aquatic).
HUGS,
jemi
p.s. technically, i don't think you were in the english channel... =P
okay, okay. so maybe i'm still obsessed. =)
